Influenced by Spanish & Flamenco Dance
My first book The Golden Age of the Spanish Dance was challenging, I had
never written a book, I started from scratch only knowing that I wanted to
include, the history of Spanish dance, forgotten dance artists of an era, with
a final recap on the careers of La Argentina and Vicente Escudero.
About The Author
Michael Miguel Bernal
Michael Miguel Bernal started his professional career alongside his sisters as Los Hermanos Bernal, studying ballet, Spanish, and flamenco dance. He has performed throughout Southern California, and in Oregon, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, Colorado, and Mexico City. He studied with renowned teachers in Los Angeles, Mexico City, and Madrid. He danced with Jose Greco and Nana Lorca as a member of their touring company, culminating with performances that included concerts and appearances with the Stockton and Boston Pops Symphony Orchestras.

Book two Legends of Spanish & Flamenco Dance was easier in that I knew
who my subjects would be La Argentinita, Pilar Lopez and Rosario & Antonio.
promised my mentors, Pilar Lopez, and Rosario that I would complete the
manuscript. Their encouragement, guidance, and generous gifts of time,
years of information, and dance memorabilia, as well as their friendship
gave me confidence. The enormous amount of anecdotical information
was abundant, every visit brought up different narratives.
